Privacy.

The short version

• Your videos, swings, tags and folders never leave your device.
• Signing in with Apple creates an account that holds your name and email address, so your subscription can follow you.
• Purchases go through Apple or Google and are managed by RevenueCat, which knows your account ID and what you bought, not your videos.
• No analytics, no crash reporting, no ads, no tracking.
• Delete your account from the app at any time. It removes everything we hold about you.

What we collect

Three things, and only these:

• Your account. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address, or the private relay address Apple creates if you chose to hide your email, together with a random account ID. That is the whole account.
• Your subscription. Whether your account has an active Unlimited subscription, which plan, and when it renews or ends. This comes from RevenueCat (see Purchases below).
• Your waitlist email, if you joined the waitlist on this website.

We do not receive your videos, your swings, your tags or folders, or how you use the app.

Your videos stay on your device

Stripey lets you import a video of one golf shot from your photo library, mark where the ball went to draw a shot tracer, and export the traced video back to your photo library or share sheet. Every swing you trace, the video it came from, and any tags and folders you create are stored only on your phone. Nothing is uploaded, backed up or synced by Stripey.

If you share an exported video through the share sheet, it goes to the app or person you choose. What they do with it is up to them and their privacy policies, not ours.

Your account

Your account is stored with Supabase, which hosts our database and sign-in. It holds your account ID, name, email address, when the account was created and when you last signed in. We use it to recognize you when you sign in again and to connect your subscription to you.

Signing in is handled by Apple. We never see your Apple password. If you hide your email from us, Apple gives us a relay address that forwards to you, and you can stop the forwarding in your Apple Account settings at any time.

Only you and Stripey can see your account. Other people who use Stripey cannot.

Permissions

Stripey asks for two things, both to do with your photo library:

• Read access, so you can pick a video to trace. On iOS you can grant limited access to just the videos you choose.
• Add-only access, so exports can be saved back to your library.

Stripey does not read the location metadata on your photos or videos. It does not ask for your camera, microphone, location or contacts.

Purchases

Stripey Unlimited is an in-app subscription sold through Apple's App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to process and validate those purchases. RevenueCat receives your account ID, purchase and receipt data, and the device information needed to validate a purchase. It does not receive your name, email or videos. RevenueCat tells us when a subscription starts, renews, is cancelled or expires, and we keep that record with your account so the app can unlock exports.

Payment itself is handled by Apple or Google. Stripey never sees your card details. Apple's and Google's privacy policies apply to what they collect at checkout, and RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to the data it processes on our behalf.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist on this website, we ask for your email address and nothing else. The address is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase, and used only to tell you when Stripey launches. You can ask us to remove it at any time by emailing support@stripey.app.

No tracking

Stripey does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs or any form of tracking across apps or websites. There are no third-party cookies on this site.

Keeping and deleting your data

On your device: delete a swing in the app to remove it, or uninstall Stripey to remove everything local. Exports you saved to your photo library are regular videos there and are managed there.

Your account: open Account in the app and choose Delete account. This deletes your account, name and email from our database, and revokes your Sign in with Apple, so Apple no longer links Stripey to your Apple Account. It takes effect immediately. Purchase records that Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep for accounting stay with them, no longer connected to a name.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple or Google subscription settings, or it will keep renewing.

We keep your account for as long as you have it. We do not sell or share it with anyone beyond the services named on this page.

Children

Stripey is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account or joined the waitlist, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Stripey handles data, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this site before they take effect.
